This week brings a couple of #1’s and the end of a event. Here are my top 5 comics I’m looking forward to reading this week.

Superman- American Alien #3 cover
Superman: American Alien #3
This 7 issue mini-series so far has been very good. Each issue is a glimpse into a young Clark Kent’s life as he deals with his new found abilities and learns lessons that will shape him into the Superman we all know. This week he is mistaken for a young Bruce Wayne and has everything a young teenager could want.

When his plane crash-lands in the middle of the ocean, 21-year-old Clark Kent finds himself at a raging party on a massive yacht and is mistaken for the guest of honor: billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne!

Illustrated by Joëlle Jones (Mockingbird, Ladykiller), the third issue of SUPERMAN: AMERICAN ALIEN is sure to have everyone talking!

Red Sonja #1 Cover

Red Sonja #1
I don’t actually know much about Red Sonja, but I find this soft reboot is a great chance to jump in and see what its all about.

Through the plains of Hyrkania, a message sweeps through the scattered peoples of the nation. Bells ring, horns blow, voices shout – the King is dying! Red Sonja rides to save the King from his doom as the powers of Hyboria crowd around to strike when the kingdom is weakest. But a dread new power rises from within Hyrkania’s own borders, bent on defending its homeland – no matter the cost, no matter what its people become. A defining chapter of the Red Sonja saga – dark, clever, vicious, and funny – as the She-Devil with a Sword must stop the rise of a brutal new regime… her own people!

Captian America Sam Wilson Cover 5

Captain America: Sam Wilson #5
This issue is going to be the first appearance of the all new Falcon, I’m curious who it will be and what he be like. Will he become the side kick to Sam wilson? I guess we’ll find out.

Witness the birth of the All-New, All-Different FALCON!

Agents of Sheild Cover #1

Agents of Shield #1
I’m cautiously optimistic that this new series will be a lot of fun. Agents of Shield the show has been rocky but has some great moments with the characters and action. If they can take those and distill them. We might have something thats a lot of fun. I know I’m looking forward to it.

It’s high-stakes espionage in the Marvel Universe in this brand-new series inspired by the hit television show Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Tony Stark guest-stars in the beginning of “THE COULSON PROTOCOLS.”

Secret Wars #9 Cover

Secret Wars #9

Last we have Secret Wars, this is the conclusion folks. We finally get to see how this year long Saga ends. I’m sure we will up for some surprises.
