Every week I pick the top 5 comics to read. This week we have some#1s and some returning favorites.

Star Wars #15

The last time we had a Obi-wan Kenobi solo adventure in the Star Wars Comics was in #7. Reading that one made me want Obi-wan to have his own comics. This is the next best thing. Obi-wan is getting another solo adventure this should be fun. Lets just hope they give him his own solo comic soon enough.

Another tale of Obi-Wan’s exile on Tatooine! Owen Lars took Luke in…but he refused to let Ben be part of his life. Why? What trouble could have been stirred up by Ben protecting Luke?

Harley Quinn 24 Cover
Harley Quinn #24

This week I’m picking Harley Quinn’s latest issue. She has to travel through Arkham Asylum to save a friend. And it seems like the Joker will there to great her. Also if you haven’t already check out the suicide squad trailer that was released yesterday.

Harley’s got an endangered friend to save, but there’s just one problem: she’s got to get through Arkham Asylum first! Unsurprisingly, Harley’s not eager to set foot in the site of some of her darkest hours…and she definitely isn’t ready to face a certain someone who’s laughing at the end of a dark hallway…

Silver Surfer #1 Cover

Silver Surfer #1

The Silver Surfer has always been a staple with Marvel comics and I’m glad he is continuing to get his own series. It makes me sad that we won’t be getting any more Fantastic Four comics for the foreseeable future. I’m looking forward to seeing what the herald of Galactus has in store for us.

“Fantastic Planet”

The Surfer has taken Dawn Greenwood to the end of the universe, and now he’s going to show her the most fantastic planet of them all: Earth! It’s your homeworld like you’ve never seen it before: with monsters, magic and…a secret that will change everything! The perfect jumping-on point for the book everyone’s talking about!

MS Marvel #3 Cover

Ms. Marvel #3

Kamala Khan has become more and more popular since her introduction.  I’m glad to see that her comics since the reboot have been keeping that quality going forward. I’m sure the third issue will be just as fun as the rest.

SPOILER ALERT: The agents at HOPE YARDS DEVELOPMENT aren’t actually interested in real estate. Turns out, the development company that co-opted Ms. Marvel’s face has been busy brainwashing the people of Jersey City…including BRUNO! Can Kamala find a way to save her city and her best friend from being mindless gentrified automatons?
