Every week I pick the top 5 comics to read. This week we have a couple of #1’s and some returning favorites. Including a one-shot.
Hellboy Winter Special 2016
Hellboy returns for a one shot in which he investigates some abandon mines in Oregon. Hellboy is at its best when its a one-shot. I’m hoping this is not a exception.
Best-selling novelist Chelsea Cain writes and Michael Avon Oeming draws the first of three snowbound stories. Then Tim Sale visits Mignola’s prehistoric mythology, and in a lead-in to the upcoming issues of Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: 1953, Hellboy explores a haunted mine in the barren wastes of Wyoming.
* Mignolaverse debuts by Tim Sale (Captain America: White), Michael Walsh (Secret Avengers), Chris Roberson (iZombie), and Chelsea Cain (Heartsick, One Kick)!

Ghostbusters International #1
Ghostbusters has always typically been in New York City. I’m excited about them going international and encountering ghosts from not only all over the world but from all sorts of times.
There’s something strange in the neighborhood… and whether that neighborhood is in New York City or Venice, Italy, the Ghostbusters will be there! After a bust at the United Nations, the boys in gray are engaged to investigate an Old World haunting, where they begin to unravel a mystery that sends them around the globe (while still trying to keep their contract with the City, County, and State of New York!). Join us for the next chapter in Ghostbusters history — because you demanded it: GHOSTBUSTERS INTERNATIONAL!
Daredevil has started off strong so far. He’s back in New York City as a lawyer and has a new invisible sidekick he’s teamed up with. Issue 3 sees the two of them in their first real test against the hand. This should be a good one.
HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT! Things quickly come to blows when the Man Without Fear and his new protégé are forced to take on a horde of HAND ninjas. And Matt Murdock’s day job isn’t going much better… His career as an ADA takes a severe hit when he’s unable to indict local crime lord Tenfingers

Old Man Logan #1
Another Old Man Logan story. These are usually pretty good so I’ll be checking out the first issue this week.
Fifty years from now, Logan — the man who no longer calls himself Wolverine — will have endured many atrocities: The Marvel Universe’s villains will have banded together and rid the world of its heroes. Logan’s closest friend, Hawkeye, will have been murdered in cold blood right before his eyes. And driven mad by the same radiation that gave him his superhuman strength, Bruce Banner will have fathered a family of hillbilly Hulks…that eventually went on to slaughter Logan’s wife and two children. But now, in the present, Old Man Logan wakes up to discover himself in a world before these atrocities, before the Wasteland. And he’s going to seize this opportunity and change history to ensure that his future never comes to pass…

Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur #3
They’ve brought back Devil Dinosaur a old Jack Kirby creation and brought him in to the present time. He’s chasing a artifact that Moon Girl has and the two team up to defeat some primitive ape men. Its a goofy comic but so far its been a lot of fun. I’d recommend checking it our from issue #1 if your interested.
SAVED BY THE BELL! DEVIL DINOSAUR goes to school. What could possibly go wrong? MOON GIRL gets her game face on and is ready to take back what’s been stolen from her! And the KILLER FOLK up their street cred!
